Pillar #1: Education & Awareness
Health education on topics that include menstrual health, sexuality, stress management, mental health, cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure and menopause
Talks will incorporate topics such as physical (exercise and nutrition), social, spiritual, mental, emotional well-being and encourage self-care
Women’s rights topics that place emphasis on women’s health as a human right and offering tips to help them navigate the services that are available
Women are encouraged to take charge of their health – “Your Health is Your Responsibility”
Guiding Principles
Empowerment Through Knowledge: Education builds confidence and enables women to make informed health choices
Cultural Sensitivity: Programs will respect and adapt to cultural beliefs and practices while addressing limiting taboos
Accessibility: Education and information must be available and relatable to women of all backgrounds
Empowerment Integration: All training includes empowerment content to build courage, resilience, and communication skills
Programs and Information Sharing Modalities
Educational Information Sessions – will involve interactive workshops, panel discussions, health talks held in throughout the country with an aim to reach as many women as possible.
“Ant Nou Spaces” – a facilitated safe space conversation café that will give women an opportunity to meet, share, talk about the difficult issues and meet others with similar experiences in a safe and receptive environment. These will be held in locations across the country.
Social Media – will be used to share, communicate and provide online videos and resources.
Pillar #2: Advocacy and Engagements
Its About You Foundation will compile a database of programs and stakeholders with a particular interest in Women’s Health with an objective of supporting, referring or boosting current programs.
Key stakeholder engagements will lead to a map of advocacy priorities and establishment of alliances to conduct educational sessions
Participate and drive advocacy campaigns and monitor policy outcomes

Collaboration: Partner with organizations, policymakers, and community leaders to strengthen women’s health agendas
Representation: Ensure women’s voices are included in decision making spaces at all levels
Evidence-Based Advocacy: Use research and data to shape impactful policies and programs sustainably
Accountability: Promote transparency and follow up on commitments to women’s health and empowerment
Pillar #3: Access & Support
The Its About You Foundation will support and partner on disease prevention and screening campaigns
Build and share a database of local services and identify other useful solutions for women
Support and link women to initiatives that improve access to care
Facilitate Continuing Professionals Development accredited programs for healthcare professions specifically on women’s health topics
